Coming through a very emotional week

Whew, that was a tough week for us.  We are completely drained and exhausted, both physically and emotionally. But, we survived !!
Teresa and I would describe ourselves as team players, who prefer to be in the background, supporting our staff members.  We are not used to all the attention that we were given this past week.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.  It is totally humbling to be blessed with the quality of friends we have made.  And the generosity of these friends is beyond belief.  We have made friends that we will cherish for life.

Words cannot express how thankful we are, for all the cards, gifts, hugs and tears that we have shared with everyone.  By Friday, Teresa said she was "cried out" and we both wondered if our little bit of remaining strength would carry us through.

Our last day of work, the skies darkened, and we received our first big rain in a long time.  It was so dark most of the day, it felt like night time.  It was the end of our careers, we were saying goodbye for the last time, and even the heaven's were mourning.

This Saturday morning, the sun is shining, and our spirits are rising, because now we can concentrate on our upcoming adventures.  It is a new day, and soon our smiles will be found again, as we continue on with our dreams.

How exciting! I'm sure you've been told by many, but it's so true! You'll be so busy that you will stop and wonder: how did I do all this and keep a job?! LOL

We've even traveled through your province in our journeys! Lovely place, we were there for the wonderful fall colors coming down from Alaska.

Thank you for your kind hearted comments to our blog! Yes, Raider was very special and we have wonderful happy and silly moments to keep in our hearts!

    Where will you be "wintering"?
