Don-Wes Flea Market

Last night was so mild, we slept with the windows open.  Pretty unbelievable for a couple of Canadians ... LOL.

We were relaxing with coffee and soft CD music on, when we heard a little tap at our door.  It was Ed and Marilyn, asking us if we would like to accompany the four of them to a flea market.

We all jumped into Bob and Janet's truck, and soon we arrived at the Don-Wes flea market.  I had read of this market on plenty of RV websites, but it was larger than I had thought.

We looked around, and had fun shopping for items for ourselves and our rig.  We did end up with a few purchases, including some very high quality sheets for a great low price.

We crossed the street to the farmer's market, and picked up some fresh fruits and veggies.  The prices were very low, including some shaved and cored pineapples for only $3.00 each.  They were so sweet and juicy !!

The bad news is we forgot to take any pics ; the good news is I am sure we will be back again !

This afternoon, Teresa and I walked throughout most of this huge park.  It is so well maintained and equipped for everything a snowbird could ask for.

The pool in our section is so inviting, that I will not give up until Teresa joins me for a swim !!

We were supposed to host happy hour on our patio, but the strong wind forced us to alter our plans.  Thankfully, Bob and Janet came to the rescue and offered to have us all over to their beautiful rig.

The girls all provided a munchie, and we all brought our own favourite drinks.  We talked and shared some personal stories, and before we knew it, we realized it was supper time.

Tonight, we are going to watch a movie, and make some popcorn.

We have to go to bed at a decent hour tonight, because we have plans for tomorrow morning.

Let's see if we can leave the windows open tonight, and let's see if Teresa is too excited to sleep.

  3. I hope you only get some of the wind and not the nasty gale we have had. Then came the rians and the dip in temps. Right now we are at 39 and looking to drop down to low 30's.

The flea market sounds like a fun place to go. Hope you don't forget your camera next time.
