Working on our To-Do List

Do you remember how much there is to do when you go on a two or three week vacation, well, imagine six months !!  Our to-do list touches the floor, even when I am standing.

We brought our motorhome to the condo to start preparations.  Teresa told me the next two days are hers, as she assembled all her cleaners, vacuum, swiffers, polish, and a cup of coffee.

View from our 3rd floor balcony

Meanwhile I have been busy confirming our roadside assistance, out of country medical, camping club memberships, and I even remembered to phone our bank to notify them of our plans.

We have piles and piles of stuff, sitting in the condo, waiting to be brought out.  I just asked Teresa where her hiking boots were, and she said they were right beside mine......oh, oh !!

  1. Love the joke about the hiking boots! I honestly can see Teresa treking up a mountain with her heels. - Pam Q

  4. HAHAHA Love those hiking boots. Just a word of warning about all the stuff you are packing. I did this last year. I packed so much stuff I couldn't move in the MH. It was silly and I am solo. There are 2 of you so be carefull what you pack. You can always pick stuff up as you go along. Just make sure you pack the gifts of wine and the pretty wine glass. You know those are very important. LOL
    Have fun and be safe.
I am heading out tomorrow for Tuscon, hope we meet up there sometime this winter.

  5. Somehow all the stuff seems to get absorbed inside the Rv except for high heeled boots!

  6. Trent, isn't hiking in those heels a little difficult. You should get some sensible boots like Teresa. Really!

  7. Last winter was our first year as snowbirds and I do remember how difficult it was to pack everything we might need! This year we are fulltimers, so it's a little easier! I'm sure you'll bring too much stuff....we always do!

  11. Hi again! just noticed that you are going to Texas - we love Texas - we were there in 2008 and will be this year again - highly recommend Goose Island State Park and at the other end of Texas Fort Davis and the McDonald Observatory. You have probably come across those in your research. You can also check out our Desert Wanderings blog linked on our new blog we have lots on Texas there! We lived in Mortlach for a spell - just west of Moose Jaw! :)

  13. The hiking boots should do the trick, lots of ankle support. Packing the stuff you need is a challenge, just don't overpack, you can purchase just about anything you need on the road, Geeting anxious yet???
